unquiet deleted scene

This is a scene that was originally in unquiet, my superhero story that is 80% longing by volume. While this scene was the original image that made me write the sequel, ultimately when I got to where is was supposed to go in the story, I didn't feel like it fit. However, I still wanted to put it somewhere!

"You want things I can't give you," Jeonghan says and shakes his head. "What If I decided for you?"

"What—" Wonwoo barely has time to ask, before Jeonghan takes a step closer to him.

At the same time as he closes the distance, Jeonghan pulls a hand over his face like he's pulling down a hood, and his face ripples. His hair lightens out and pulls close to his scalp. His clothing shakes out to become a hero's costume, unbuttoned at the collar.

"Wouldn't you like this dream?" he asks in Seungcheol's voice, and Wonwoo jerks back so fast he gets dizzy.

"No," he chokes. If you cut Wonwoo open, you'd find the longing in him like tree rings, each year leaving a mark until you could read drought and downpour in every band of wood.

And here Jeonghan is, swinging an axe.

"Shame," Jeonghan says. "I thought you wanted to kiss me."

Wonwoo's never wanted anything more. He's never wanted anything less.
