2023 writing goals

I've been kinda chill about writing goals this year, and it's an energy I'd like to take into the new year! However, I would also like to have some, and the meme going around twitter seemed fun. This will be covering the following:

1) a ship you want to write
2) a genre you want to write
3) word count you want to surpass
4) a trope you want to incorporate
5) a pov you want to try
6 au you want to write
7) a resource you want to use
8) a friend you'd like to collab with
9 something you want to improve on
10) something you want to keep doing


1) a ship you want to write
I haven't written any Q ships so far, and I'd like to!

2) a genre you want to write
Sci-fi, definitely sci-fi. I want to do something fun with space!!! Mystery in space??

3) word count you want to surpass
I've been saying it for a while, but I want to write a longfic. Once I finish my current "obligations" (saying this loosely, because I'm not tied down to them, I'd just like to finish a few things I have simmering) I want to put my energy into something that's 30k+. I want to write something with a plot you can sink your teeth into.

4) a trope you want to incorporate
Telepath of some sort! This pretty realistic since two of my potential longfics have telepathy elements.

5) a pov you want to try
Juyeon pov again! Or Bang Chan.

6 au you want to write
I'd love a scifi au! Or a time travel au in idolverse.

7) a resource you want to use
Honestly anything that lets me plot better, maybe google sheets?

8) a friend you'd like to collab with
Anyone!! I think it'd be cool to write collaboratively on something. No real plans in that direction but I'd be very open to it!

9 something you want to improve on
Plotting!!! I want to be able to write something I'm satisfied with re: plot and overall character arcs.

10) something you want to keep doing
I'd like to keep my current focus on style! And keep writing things that make me happy.
